Open Source Day II
The second annual Open Source Day was held at the MIT Stata Center. Thirty participants gathered to learn about how the community can collaborate on a variety of different projects. Keynote speaker, Jeff Merriman from MIT's Open Knowledge Initiative talked about open source development and how the O.K.I. OSIDs are enabling standards-based repository searches around the world.

Using Open Space Technologies, a methodology for community-building, collaboration and idea generation the conference participants brainstormed ideas, developed requirements and by the end of the conference a number of projects and teams were born.
Planning has already begun for Open Source Day III on July 13 in Las Vegas, Nevada preceding Bb Developers Conference (July 14-15) and BbWorld 2008 (July 15-18) in Las Vegas.
